About Capt. Janet

With more than 30 years of boating experience Captain Janet has experience on boats from 12 to 200 feet in length and has boated on waters from Maine to Florida, Alaska, Canada, the Great Lakes, Bahamas, the Caribbean and the US&BVIs. Her passion is to help new boaters gain the skills and knowledge necessary to enjoy the nautical freedom that she so loves. Her company name was born from this passion.

Before Janet became a captain she spent 28 years as a nurse, nursing administrator, and university professor. Besides holding a 200 ton captain's license, her education includes a BSN in nursing, MSA in Healthcare Administration, and a Ph.D. in Applied Management.
